Nice to see someone has finally left a comment on the wall. I must agree with that anonymous 'Guest' although I haven't seen or heard the word 'Phooey' used since watching Hong Kong Phooey as a kid.

Maybe Mr. Pugh can start manufacturing the rose tinted specs he is obviously wearing and supply us all with a pair. How does he define a cash crisis, if we are not in one at the moment?

If services have to be streamlined and taxes raised just to stand still then surely you are in a crisis.

I've just finished reading the excellent new book by Brian Greening and Bill Shepherd, 'More Tales And Mysteries Of Our Island Past'. If you've never read any of the books written by these two old boys then you're missing out. Every book explores the Island life the way it used to be during and before their childhoods. Luckily for us all these chaps have recorded the history that would otherwise be lost once their generation is gone. History lessons at school in my day were full of irrelevent facts that bored me to tears, if however I was taught the stuff that appears in Brian's and Bill's books I would have been more inclined to take notice.
